29 June 2026
As part of our initiative to provide students with meaningful exposure to our rich cultural traditions, Gurukulam has introduced Bharathanatyam sessions conducted by Ms. Viraja and her team on 29th June.
We are delighted that our well-wishers and volunteers, who have always extended their support towards our students, have come forward to introduce them to the beauty and discipline of Bharathanatyam. The sessions help students understand that dance is an art form that can be enjoyed and practised by everyone, without gender bias.
Ms Viraja also shared with the students the importance of regular dance practice and how it can develop discipline, concentration, confidence, coordination and self-expression.
Our students have shown great interest and enthusiasm towards the sessions and have actively participated in the practice. We are happy to see them explore a new art form while gaining an appreciation for our cultural heritage.
At Gurukulam, we believe that education extends beyond academics. Every opportunity to learn, create and experience something new contributes to the holistic development of our children.
We sincerely thank Ms. Viraja and her team, along with our supportive volunteers, for making this initiative possible and for enriching our students' learning experience.
