Eco Club Initiative: Promoting a Green and Eco-Friendly Campus

 10th Jan 2026

As part of the school’s commitment to environmental awareness, the Eco Club activities are carried out throughout the academic year. These activities aim to instill in students a sense of responsibility towards protecting nature and maintaining an eco-friendly environment.

As part of this initiative, students actively participated in planting saplings within the school campus. One of the key highlights of the activity was the creation of a Herbal Garden, where students planted various medicinal and herbal plants to promote awareness about the importance and benefits of natural herbs.

Students enthusiastically contributed by bringing saplings such as oregano, basil, and aloevera, which were carefully planted in the herbal garden area. Through this activity, students learned about the importance of herbs, sustainable living, and maintaining greenery in their surroundings.

The initiative continues to be a long-term effort, with students taking responsibility for nurturing and maintaining the plants. Their presentations and explanations about the plants and their benefits were impressive, reflecting their understanding and commitment to environmental conservation.

This ongoing Eco Club activity not only enhances the green cover of the campus but also helps students develop a deep appreciation for nature and eco-friendly practices, encouraging them to become responsible caretakers of the environment.

Anti-Drug Abuse Awareness Rally

 06th March 2026

To promote a healthy and responsible lifestyle among students, an Anti-Drug Abuse Awareness Rally was organized on 6th March in and around the school campus. The rally aimed to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse, particularly among the younger generation.

Around 55 students from Grade VII onwards, along with their teachers, actively participated in the rally. The students marched with great enthusiasm, carrying placards and spreading messages that highlighted the dangers of drug addiction and its life-threatening consequences.

The primary objective of the rally was to educate and encourage young people to stay away from drugs and to help them understand how substance abuse can negatively impact their health, future, and overall well-being. Through this initiative, students also learned the importance of making responsible choices and leading a disciplined life.

The awareness rally was not limited to the school campus; it also extended to the neighbouring areas, allowing the students to reach out to the wider community and spread the message of “Say No to Drugs.”

The programme served as a meaningful step toward building awareness and empowering students to become responsible citizens, committed to promoting a safe and drug-free society.

A workshop was conductedwith all our teachers

As reported by our Principal:

Our Managing Trustee addressed the school team on 19th December, Monday with lot of inputs to the team on how to build our children into a strong future pillars and good citizens of tomorrow; not only for themselves but also for the nation.  He has expressed his views with lot of illustrations on how to build a strong team and reach the goal.

The word team has been explained that (Together Everyone Achieve More) with GROW and this stands for (Goal - Reality - Options - Way forward), the above words have carried a real energy for the team and it was well accepted by them.

He has pointed that a team should work together selflessly to achieve a common goal or aim.

The vision of the school  was very clear that we want to bring up the children - those who are economically backwards - at par with others and our small efforts will  help them to have a better future.

He has explained about the team work as Working together is a collective responsibility, that will lead to success on our journey.

His motivation gave a special energy and active plans to bridge the learning gap due to the pandemic.  His blessing and appreciations always make the team to work efficiently towards the success.

The daily labourers in India have been hugely affected. With no means of daily income, their tiny savings are deplete. The best help we can do, is to provide food to sustain them till we come back to normalcy!

Teachers and Staff of Trust Children volunteered to cook and provide food everyday!

Our teachers and staff are our real heroes!!

May they stay blessed!

We thank Rotary Club of Chennai Central, Paramahansa Yogananda Trust, RVS Education Trust, Greenpeace India Society and all our individual donors who have made this possible!

Thank you all who are behind this!!!
Must share this with the Aunties too tomorrow.
