Independence Day Celebrations

As reported by our teacher:

On 15th morning, we are asked to come to school for the flag hoisting and other activities. We all are requested to come in white dress and by 8.00 am, the Vande Mataram,Flag song, National Anthem were sung by our school choir team and later we had March Past, Mass drill, the Pyramid and other cultural activities.

The speech by our student Sashvitha of Grade VIII was on how our country got independence from British rule and about the sacrifices our freedom fighter has made for the country.

Also, we celebrated it to make our children aware of the history of our country.

Independence fosters one's ability to be self-reliant and self-sufficient, to be able to do what is necessary to create a fulfilling life for oneself and one's family. This has been exhibited by our students through various performances during the occasion.

Independence Day is significant as it commemorates the valour and spirit of the freedom fighters who fought for the nation's independence from British rule. The day is recognised as that of national pride and honour, the occassion was over with National Anthem and the vote of thanks.
