To kick off the new academic year and help parents of new kindergarten students understand how the school operates, we invited them to an orientation session on June 8, 2024, at our school premises.
Parent orientation sessions provide an opportunity for educators to build trust and rapport with parents. By welcoming them into the educational setting and sharing information about the school's vision, values, and teaching methodologies, parents gain confidence in the school's commitment to their child's well-being.
These sessions highlight the school's focus on holistic development, encompassing academic, social, emotional, and physical growth. Parents gain insights into how the school nurtures these aspects and are encouraged to play an active role in supporting their child's overall development.

Admissions every year go through a strict process of selection by the teachers, Admin Manager, Principal and Trustees.
All applicants are checked for financial eligibility by the Admin Manager and teachers by checking various records.
Initial house visits are conducted by teachers, Admin Manager and Principal to ensure that the children are from economically underprivileged families.
The final house visits are done along with a Trustee. This is to ensure that children from the most deserving and economically underprivileged families are admitted to school.

School organised the parents orientation programme for the LKG & UKG students on 22nd June. The Parents' Orientation programmes serve as a foundation for school success. It sets a lasting impression for new students and their families. The main purpose of a good orientation session is to bridge the gap between the teachers and the students, ensuring a smooth communication between the two.
Parents orientation programs also help parents voice their opinions, understand the function and the roles of the teachers as well as the school.
The school sets the expectations from what parents are required to do from their side:
1. Send children regularly, well groomed and on time
2. Ensure a quiet space for the child to do his/her homework everyday.
Pre-Admission house visits by our teachers:
Gurukulam extend their support for the students those who are really in a pathetic condition of their life and the children those who economically backward. We initiate the house visit to identify the need of every potential student where they do not have an opportunity to continue their studies with a good environment. We as a team go and analyse the condition of the student and their family before we give the admission for the needy.
Every child needs our love and affection to continue their studies, their living condition shows that they are unable to meet the definite need of every day.
Economic disadvantage affects children on several levels, including physical, social-emotional and cognitive. “The stresses of poverty lead to impaired learning ability in children from impoverished backgrounds.”
Poor emotional health, caused by the lack of parental support, may cause an increase in disruptive behaviour in the classroom. Chronic stressors will cause students to underperform in school and either give up or become disinterested in their school work . House visits gives us a clear idea before we extend the free education for the students.
