To develop the fine motor skills for the Kindergarteners, "writing in the sand" activity has been conducted on 9th December 2023. After a story session we have started making the students to write alpha numeric in the sand.
"Writing in the sand" at the beach might seem like just a bit of fun, but it also has a number of developmental benefits like helping the children to develop the skills and confidence to form the connecting lines and curves, as well as the vertical, horizontal and zig-zag lines that form the basis of letters.
Sand play for toddlers has many surprising benefits for development, such as enhancing motor skills, social and emotional awareness, improving language and speech, sparking creativity .
Sand play helps with emotional development and socialization in children as well. In the sandpit, kids learn collaboration skills as they dig, carry, and move sand with other children and educators. They learn to wait patiently and take turns with the sand play materials we have on hand.
