"Train the Trainer" Sessions at Gurukulam

Gurukulam regularly conducts "Train the Trainer" sessions under the Staff Development Programme (SDP) on Saturdays. 

Mr Sathya, our maths teacher and school co-ordinator, conducted a Train the Trainer session on 22nd November, aimed at enhancing teaching skills and classroom effectiveness. 

Mr. Sathya delivered an engaging mock lesson on Pythagoras’ Theorem in Mathematics, highlighting the use of audio-visual tools for better learning outcomes. He also shared practical insights on lesson planning and classroom management. 

The programme provided valuable learning opportunities for primary and newly joined faculty, strengthening their confidence and teaching strategies. Mr. Jesudoss, our new Computer Science teacher, also actively contributed through a presentation as part of the professional development initiative. To ensure continuous growth, weekly presentations have been introduced under the Staff Development Programme (SDP) for ongoing improvement.





National E-Waste Awareness Webinar

As part of its ongoing efforts to promote environmental awareness, Gurukulam participated in a webinar on E-Waste Awareness and Reduction organised by the Ministry of Education, Government of India (DoSEL) on 9th October 2025

The session, received through the District Education Officer, Chengalpattu, aimed to educate students on the importance of responsible e-waste management. 

To ensure every learner benefited, the webinar was streamed through our Smart Class system across all classrooms. Students found the session highly informative and later shared their reflections, showcasing a deeper understanding of sustainability and their role in protecting the planet.








A Colorful Diwali Celebration at Our School

Gurukulam joyfully celebrated the Festival of Lights — Diwali on 17th October 2025, filling the campus with colour, laughter, and festive energy. Students showcased their talents through vibrant dances, heartfelt skits, and inspiring speeches that beautifully conveyed the spirit and message of Diwali. The youngest learners captured everyone’s hearts with their delightful performances, spreading joy throughout the celebration. 

The event was a wonderful reminder of the school’s shared values of togetherness, happiness, and cultural pride, creating lasting memories for our Gurukulam family.









Prepared Today, Safe Tomorrow: Fire Safety Drill at Our School

At Gurukulam, student safety is always a top priority. As part of our continued commitment to safety and preparedness, we organised a Fire Safety Drill on 17th October 2025

Officers from the Fire Service Department visited our campus to share valuable knowledge about fire prevention, emergency response, and lifesaving techniques. 

Their interactive demonstrations gave students practical experience and built confidence to act wisely in emergencies. We sincerely thank the Fire Service officers for their time, dedication, and guidance in helping our students learn how to stay safe and protect others.

Empowering Young Minds through the Bebras Readiness Challenge

On November 22, our school hosted the Bebras Readiness Challenge for students of Grades VII to XI, in collaboration with the talented students of SSN College. 

The session was carefully designed and conducted by the young facilitators, who brought great energy and clarity to each activity. Guided by the leadership of Ms. Ankita Reddy, the programme flowed smoothly, engaging students in problem-solving, teamwork, and creative thinking. 

The atmosphere buzzed with excitement as our students confidently discussed ideas, shared strategies, and tackled challenges together. It was a day that truly reflected the joy of learning—filled with curiosity, collaboration, and inspiration.

Inspiring Creativity through Sustainability

On November 13, the MMRT3 team organized a vibrant Junk Art Competition for students of Grades VII to XI to celebrate childhood and creativity. 

The initiative, themed “Wealth Out of Waste,” encouraged students to explore sustainability through hands-on art using recyclable materials. 

Each creation reflected the students’ imagination, teamwork, and commitment to protecting the environment. The event not only nurtured artistic talent but also reinforced the importance of reusing and recycling in shaping a more responsible and eco-conscious generation.

Children’s Day Celebration – A Day Filled with Joy and Laughter

Gurukulam celebrated Children’s Day on 14th November 2025 with boundless joy and excitement. 

The day was filled with engaging games and activities designed to delight our little learners and make the celebration truly special. 

Teachers enthusiastically joined in the fun, sharing laughter and inspiring students to grow into kind, responsible citizens. 

To make the day even more memorable, each child received a small gift as a token of appreciation for their cheerful participation. The campus echoed with smiles, laughter, and warmth, creating beautiful memories for both students and teachers alike.
