Visit by Vestas
Vestas came in 30 strong and went back 155 strong :-) Mr. Aravind Kaul the MD of Vestas interacted with the children, as they show cased their talents in drawing and coloring. The vision for the event was for children’s creativity to be encouraged and nurtured in and out of school.The interaction between the children and guests was truely amazing!

Taj - Fishermans Cove in Gurukulam
Taj - Fishermans Cove have always brought a smile to our children...and the 21st Aug 09 was no different :-)
Mr Tanay spent time with our children...He took a scintillating class on the Solar Eclipse.. It was simply wonderful to see the topic that he had chosen to share, the pains to bring forth a great presentation and the love that made this happen...Thank you Mr Tanay :-) Our children loved it..

A typical morning assembly

The morning assembly is conducted by every teacher in turn. The start is very punctual...a typical Monday assembly takes a maximum of 10 minutes and the other days take around 5 minutes..
1. Prayers: "Where the mind is without fear" by Tagore, "I will be Thine Always" by Paramahansa Yogananda and Tamil Thai Vazthu are sung everyday
2. National Flag hoisting (Mondays)
3. Annoncements.
4. Weekly medals (Mondays)
5. Birthday wishes, if any.
6. Class teachers check turn out, nails etc., before the children disperse to classes
