Hands-On Learning – Filtration Activity for Grade VI

On 21st August 2025, the Grade VI students of Gurukulam participated in an engaging Science activity focused on filtration, designed to help them understand practical applications of separating mixtures.

During the activity, students explored the process of filtering solids from liquids using different materials and techniques. They actively set up filtration experiments, observed the separation process, and recorded their observations, gaining a clear understanding of how filtration works in daily life and in scientific experiments.

This hands-on session encouraged curiosity, critical thinking, and practical understanding of scientific concepts. Students learned to analyze results, draw conclusions, and appreciate the importance of experimentation in science.

The filtration activity was an excellent example of learning by doing, fostering an interactive and experiential environment where students could connect classroom theory with real-world applications. Gurukulam continues to emphasize such activities to enhance conceptual understanding and scientific inquiry among young learners.
